Hi, I am not sure I am posting this in the right place.
I bought a HP Pavilion dv7-6140, with preinstalled windows 7 a month ago. The webcam was working until 2 days ago. Now when I open Youcam it says I need to plug in or turn on the webcam. But it is integrated. No way of turning on as far as I know.
I also checked the device manager and there is no icon like Imaging Devices. The only thing i have is the Youcam Driver under Sound, video and game controllers.
I already tried Scanning for hardware changes in device manager and i got nothing.
I think last week i plugged in an external webcam for a little while, but i don't remember if i installed the driver for it or not. Could it be because of that?
I really want to try everything before deciding i have to send it for repair.
Thanks for the help.

Power off the computer and Once you turn ON, Keep pressing F8 key repeatedly to load "Windows Advanced Boot options" screen. In this screen either select Safe mode/Safe mode with networking and logon to your user account by entering password manually.
Once this is done, perform a system restore through Control Panel and restore your computer to an earlier date whenever it was working fine.
Note:
As you said 2 days ago, it was working fine try selecting a restore point which is atleast more than 4-5 days old.
I am an HP employee!!
