HP laptop m6-1045dx product number B5S08UA#ABA hdmi port not working

My new HP laptop m6-1045dx product number B5S08UA#ABA  hdmi port does not appear to send output to my TV.  HDMI cable works fine with XBOX, so it's not the cable or the TV.  No drivers appear to be available to fix the issue--ideas?
