How to enable the blu ray /dvd player to play blu ray disc?

I have  the HP Pavilion dv9620 us Notebook  PC . It  played blu ray disc  before I upgraded   windows  7 Ultimate. Please , check  this information out. This  is  the  HP Pavilion  Entertainment  PC  in  the  hp 9600 series.

I do not believe the OP stated it was factory installed.  Just that it previously worked, but does not now.  Same issue I am having.  (Felt compelled to reply as no one has bothered to actually solve this problem, yet.)

As far as I know, at this point, there is no free way to do this through Windows.  This is primarily due to the requirement of the encryption keys being needed.  ArcSoft Total Media Theater seems to be the best program on Windows for BluRay, but it's priced at $99 (except the 15-day free trial).
