Can you see the device in device manager? Is there a yellow ! next to it or a red triangle? There is a chance you have a loose connection in the screen where the camera attaches to a circuit board.

Try a hard reset and if that doesn't work, I am thinking the camera connection may have worked itself loose from the circuit board. All that is under the plastic frame of the screen.

Your actual number for your notebook is HP G6065EA Notebook PC.
Take a look at this place for replacement screens and it will show you the general method for removing the plastic cover this is where the camera, microphone, power inverter and the screen of course is located and how to access it. If you ever need to replace your screen, this is a good place to do it.
