I've been getting Green and Red lines, on the entire screen.

(my laptop is an 18 inch dv9000 pavallion)

Basically what happens is that green or red vertical lines/bands appear on the screen, now this isn't just one or two; IT'S ACROSS THE ENTIRE SCREEN. I haven't seen anything discussed about vertical lines appearing across the screen. The lines appear when the screen is at different angles. Currently, after being closed for a while and then opening it, the lines remain until  I've put the screen all the way back.

What I've found that works best is to take off the power button panel, and the lcd cover; and the problem stops. Though I can get the lines to appear when I move around the wires leading the video card. I think the problem area actual has to do with how the wire goes to the video card to LCD screen.

The wire comes out of the video card, then it has to go under the black hinge (the problem area) and then out the otherside to the LCD screen. I think having it go under the hinge is creating unnessary pressure on the wire that's slowly wearing down the insulation.

Could I get a guide on how to take the cable out? And any possible fixes?
