Laptop does not recognise the DVD/Cd player

I have a hp pavilion dv6 notebook pc. windows 7. my notebook does not recognise the dvd/cd player.  I sent my laptop in for repair and ever since the dvd/cd player doesn't work.

Hi,

 

What was the type of repair ? Hardware or else ? Naturally the repairer must fix it for you but before go to that path, please try this:
