List of Applications that do NOT work on the DV6 6100 [ Edited ]

I was wondering if you could report this issue to the driver engineers or someone that is able to understand what is going on. The issues are detailed in this 90 page thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-pavilion-notebooks/583203-dv6t-7-switchable-graphics.html .  

quick rundown:

OpenGL does not work - at all.

Radeon does not switch unless playing some sort of game.

Even then, many bugs continue to exist.

On my HP DV7t Quad Edition 6100 CTO, I'm experiencing BSOD (often during youtube video playback), lines/pixalated images after screen flash and ATI driver stopped working bubble pops up. The new driver didn't help so I rolled it back. 

Would much rather only use the gfx card and ignore the on-board graphics if it's going to cause problems... seems a waste to have such great hardware go to waste, as well as a very expensive shopping mistake.

Here are the details of my system via screenshots (available updates also shown below, which I will hold-off on until HP provides working drivers):

CCC settings are as follows and seems to have reduced the frequency of my problems, however, at least once a week I get the same issues:

you seem to have the 6000, not the 6100...

Don't think HP even reads these forums based on the intelligence of their "specialists." They can't grasp the problem. Send the HP CEO some emails. Maybe the "execs" can get this problem fixed.

I'm just waiting for an nVidia option GT555M DDR5 that comes in the same small package from another manufacturer. The Sager NP5165 may be an alternative.

Add Cities In Motion to the list. 

I tried emailing for an update, that went like this: 
Warranty check screen: Give my serial/product numbers 

Says warranty is valid, gives me links to chat, email, etc. 

Click email

Warranty check screen reappears. 

That loop goes on forever. Awesome.

So, I used the chat. The contact said they were aware of it and researching the issue. No timetable. 

I'd be really happy with the laptop otherwise, but this is inexcusable. It's my only machine...returning it is going to be a pain.
