Multi-monitor option

 XP pro SP3 32 bit

Compaq Presario C502US Notebook PC
Serial Number:   CND7070GY0
Product Number:   rq335ua

Cannot find the option for multi-monitor in Display Properties >>Settings. There is no information neither under the "Advance".

I do not know where to find an updated driver for my integrated video card so I can use the Svideo output in the Computer. The HP site does not offer any driver for Video for this PC. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Luis.

Re: Multi-monitor option

Hi,

Thank you for answering.

Yes I did tried but it does not work on the Svideo port.

I did search on the internet but could not find where and if there is an updated drive for the video card embedded in the laptop. All info I read points towards updating the video card driver but I cannot even find what video card this PC has since the Display Properties shows generic drivers or "unavailable" manufacturer, or model.

The question is why this computer has an Svideo and cannot be used.

The Display Properties >> Settings should show the multi-monitor option and it does not.

I also checked this site for updated drives but there is none.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Luis.

Hope this helps.

Re: Multi-monitor option

Thank you. I will download the application and wil give a try. I am frustrated with this issue. I also used the application from Intel to detect the driver and it does not find any hardware!! Thanks again and will give a try.

I appreciate your time and consideration.

Re: Multi-monitor option

OK. I really appreciate your help. I downloaded the .exe you suggested, installed but it crashed several times.

I also read the instructions contained in the folder and it talkes about the same file but as a .zip.

I looked for that link, which is:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=16836&lang=eng&wapkw=winxp_14324.zip

Unzipped, went to Display and direct the search for new driver to the graphics folder inside the unzipped file.

It was a great pleasure to see the driver updating. It works great, I can choose the multi-monitor and do all those nice things i was supposed to do. It also drives the Svideo output and allows to extend the resolution of my screen. Thanks again for all your guidance.

Sincerely,

Luis.
