My screen gets really dark, as though the lid was closed. Last time it happened on boot up which is obviously quite a problem. I read someone had a similar problem and fixed their actuator switch (thanks for the feedback btw). I think mine may be under the hp logo since pressing on it causes the screen to go black. Anyone has any idea?

Also I have some weird patterns at the bottom at the LCD monitor. If someone shined anti-spotlights (they would take the light  instead of shine it) at regular intervals at the bottom of my screen, that's what it would look like. It's not software since a screenshot will not show it. Anyone knows if it could be related, or if it's just the monitor crapping out? I'm totally willing to live with that if the screen at least stays not black.
