HP DV6500 Model
When I lift the lid and my computer is on, the screen's backlight starts to flicker, but very small and subtle flickers, as if I'm convinced I have vision problems. I end up having to push back the lid and return it to comfortable angle (or pull it forward and then push it back) in order for the flicker to go away. With this, I am safe to assume that the motion of the screen lid affects the backlight. I am wondering if it is just the display cable needing to be reseated... or if I have to dig into the screen bezel and check the inverter? I understand that the backlight is controlled by the inverter, but thought I would ask around the computer community.

I have the excact same error on my laptop (dv6500)
Don't know if you have fixed your problem yet, but I can assure you, it's only getting worse.
Before you know it the screen goes black, and can not be used at all.
If you come up with a solution I would really like to know, cause this crap is soon going
down the bin.
