I'm really regretting that I cancelled my first order (6000 series) just to get the 2GB 6770m(6100 series) - 1) it doesn't improve my graphics performance (as I found out AFTER I purchased it) and 2) I'm stuck dealing with this "dynamic switching" mess. I'd jump in joy if I could retrieve that cancelled order, but since I can't I'm left to either wait for HP to fix the plethora of switching issues or to return my dv6t. I have only a few days till the return period is over, so it's more likely that I'm going to have to return, as with many other users who eagerly bought their laptops back in mid-May.
Take action, HP, or you're going to have lots of returns in the coming week. It doesn't have to be a fancy fix or anything - a mere acknowledgement of the issue and a clear statement of your intention to fix it will do more good than your current state of ignorance.

Returns are very easy. I've returned two DV6's. Call them up and ask for an RMA. They email it to you. Print it out, slap the label on the box and drop it off at a FedEx drop-off point. You'll get a credit on your CC right after Fedex gets possession of it. HP sucks at fixing problems, but they at least make it easy to return stuff. I would NOT keep it, hoping for a fix. I also had a 6000 that had great working graphics, only to switch to the 6100 which fails to switch over to the Radeon.

Personally, if they don't give us back standard switchable graphicals / significantly improve the dynamic graphics by July 4th, I'm returning it for Dell's XPS 15. I still have some faith in HP and think there's a decent chance they'll roll out a fix soon, but they better hurry because I'm not taking chances...(sorry got logged off my last account and don't remember its password)

I'm in agreement with you. For better or for worse, there aren't many other options out there ATM for the dv6t, so I would have to delay my second purchase if/when I return my dv6t. There is supposedly a new envy 14 coming out on the 26th, but according to sources that also has switchable graphics... what a bummer. I'm going to have to look elsewhere for my second purchase if HP stays mum on the issue at hand.

I agree. But don't be afraid of just returning the laptop if they don't listen. There are good models out there beside those branded by HP or Dell.
I have been getting only scriped emails from customer service... clearly insufficient!
I put together a pretty good laptop configuration around $1200 USD here:

Can I suggest that everyone here complaining about the HP laptop go to HP website and post a review with 1 star rating (I did that myself). This may catch HP's attention.

I also wrote a scathing review. Question is, will HP post it?
If the truth hurts, maybe they won't!
