Newest drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics / HPG62-340US?

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics

upgraded to 6gb RAM

The ATI graphics driver on my notebook and the ones on the product page for my model are almost a year old, from October of 2010. Are there newer drivers available that will work with this model? I play some pretty low-end games that should have no problem running on this thing, but they are extremely laggy. I read somewhere that a newer version of this corrects some OpenGL issues and I think that would help with some of my probs.

Yes there are newer drivers for your video adapter if you get them directly from AMD.

Thanks! I tried to install drivers from AMD several months ago and they didn't work, so I just assumed I had to get them from HP. The link worked and everything installed so it looks good so far. The only thing is that this is a "stand-alone" driver and it does not seem to have Catalys Control Center. I can live with it, though, if I see some improvement in performance.  Thanks again!
