Pavilion G6-1232SL due to Dynamic Graphics Mode even Cyberlink PowerDVD10 and 11 detect Intel Graphics HD Only, no AMD Radeon!

Setting High Performance for application in the HP modified AMD Catalyst Control Center for Switchable Graphics, latest version under Windows7 SP1 x64 doesn't change anything. Cyberlink PowerDVD10 and PowerDVD11 both can only detect and use the slower and lower quality Intel CPU integrated Intel Graphics HD with its Intel ClearVideo support.

No AMD AVIVO for the AMD Radeon GPU is available this way, so it can't be used even for watching movies and video files with PowerDVD.

All of this mess is happening just because HP refuses to release a G6 BIOS update that allows customers to switch to Fixed Graphics Mode so that AMD Mobility Radeon drivers with AVIVO could recognize the AMD GPU and the Intel Graphics HD would get disabled/not used anymore.

What customers should do to get the needed BIOS Update from HP then? Using latest F.41 BIOS and the Fixed Mode switch setting it's not there.

This notebook was recommended by me to a friend of mine and her husband for its AMD Radeon GPU and now they are disappointed and angry at both me and HP, they feel ripped off by HP and I can do nothing to solve this, only HP can.

It's just plain absurd that HP is doing all this for no real reason. Just give your customers the BIOS options that are in the BIOS already but right now hidden and can't be accessed.

All of this is just plain crazy.

HP needs to sort this out NOW, not in 3 - 4 months time or 1 year or never.

After several consultations they sent me this:

We tried contact you by phone, but it was not possible.

We repport a new BIOS version was released. This version will solve graphic card issue.

After updating, "Switchable Graphic Mode" option must be available (within System Configuration menu). We will contact you to explain how this modes work.

This is BIOS version F.52 which the geniuses at HP say MUST contain the fixed graphics option. It doesn´t. It seems that HP has no idea what options are included in the software they are releasing!
