I've been having an issue where every time I update my graphics drivers (through Windows, HP, or ATI) the screen remains dark and barely readable after the update is complete. Its so dim that only by pure determination can I get it to shut it down nicely (aka not holding down the button to shut it down, ick). Also, if the laptop is closed and in sleep/hibernate state and is unplugged from the AC outlet, when I go to open it again the display will once again be dim. As soon as I restart my laptop the problem fixes itself and the display is back in all its blazing glory. However, this problem is becoming increasingly annoying and do not believe it should be doing this. Any help is appreciated, also I'm still under warranty, in fact I've only had the laptop for 3 months and it has been doing this since day one.
