Problem with HDMI output on HP pavilion g6-1007sa

Hi there,

I am trying to connect my laptop, HP Pavilion g6-1007sa to my TV via a HDMI cable, however, my laptop does not seem to detect any input from the HDMI cable.

I have tried turning everything off and turning the TV on first then my laptop, but it still does not detect anything.

Any help would be great.
