Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hello DP-K,

Thank you for the quick response.

The model is DV9700.

I was afraid of that. I will look around to compare the pricing then.

Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hi,

Ok, I would say that the 'Re-flow' option would probably be your best and most cost effective solution.

Regards,

DP-K

Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hello DP-K,

My apologies, but English isn't my best language.

By "Re-flow" do you mean replacing the motherboard with the GeForce?

Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hi,

No problem :smileyhappy:

A re-flow is the type of service offerred on the link below.

http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-DV2000-DV6000-DV9000-TX1000-Laptop-No-Video-REPAIR-/260674058980?pt=LH_Defaul...

A new Motherboard would be much more expensive than a re-flow.

Regards,

DP-K

Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hello DP-K,

Yes, I agree with you.

The problem is that right now I am in a small European country called Bulgaria and intend to stay here for a while. It will not be possible to use these services. I did save the link for future reference.

Finding spare Motherboards will be cheaper but more difficult to find in here.

I greatly apprciate your help in that matter.

Hi again

Still can' t check the video on extermal monitor, but i ve recorded this ---> http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/812/dky.mp4/

It' s a video of my ipod because programs does not record it good. And i made it slower, so it s easlier to see. ( bufering may last a moment, but please wait : ) )

The image on the right is strange...  distorted... the same thing happens in games, films...

Does anybody know what is it?

Re: Problem with graphics card in Hp Pavilion dv7

Hi Adam,

I've had a look at the video you've uploaded and there is definetely a problem - you really need to find some way of connecting the notebook to another display to narrow down the cause of the problem.  For example, if the display looks OK on another monitor, then the problem is almost certainly with the notebooks LCD screen.  However, if you see the same problem with the image on another monitor, then the problem is almost certainly with the video chip on the Motherboard.

Regards,

DP-K
