I am not sure if this is the correct board to post this in and I know that this is most likely way to late to say anything about it, but last August I ordered my HP Pavilion v6t. I love the computer it is a great laptop. Well I custom ordered the computer and I wanted the Radeon video card included in my computer. The reciept said I paid for it and the computer has the Radeon sticker but when I use dxdiag to look up my computer's display driver it states I have the Mobile Intel HD Graphics. Although I am pleased with my computer's power but I am a little peeved that I just now looked up the current display driver just to find out it isn't the video card I paid for. Is there anything I can do this late after my purchase? Does HP have a a refund policy for things like this occuring?

Hi:
Is it possible your notebook came with switchable graphics, and you are on the Intel video right now?
What is your full model number?

Please see the service manual, chapter 1, pages 3 & 4.

I have the Pavilion dv6t Slct Edition Entertainment PC.
I paid for th Radeon graphics card when I bought the computer through HP and I just recently found out that the card isn't in my computer, the Intel graphic card is in the computer instead. It may be switchable I just wouldn't know how to do that. I just would like to know if it would be possible to get the refund for extra I paid the graphic card or even get the graphic card mailed to my house so I could install it.

Hi:
This is a consumer to consumer forum. No one from HP maintains an official presence here and no one can answer your questions about getting refunds, etc. You will need to contact HP.
As I posted above, your PC most likely has switchable graphics.
That means both the Intel onboard video and the AMD HD6490 video is present, but the AMD video is switched off and you need to turn it on.
See this link below on how to use switchable graphics.

Hmm...I guess I have the switchable graphics card. I am not sure why dxdiag would tell me that I have the Intel graphic card then. Thank you for all your help. I guess I was worrying myself over nothing.

You're very welcome.
I can't help with the exact mechanics of how it works. Hopefully you can figure it out by reading that link and other associated info, or post a new question asking how do you make the AMD video work?
I don't have a notebook with switchable graphics.
At least you can be reassured you got what you paid for.
