Product name: HP Pavilion dv4-1204tu Entertainment Notebook PC
My display panel has been flickering for almost a month now for which I logged a complaint on one of the service centers in Panjim, Goa - SYSCON, MG Road, Panjim, India on 26th October 2009. It's been 16 days now and there's no update from them or HP regarding the new display panel which they promised to replace with. I have been patient enough and the current situation is that I am not able to look at the screen for more than 5 minutes. Its affecting my eyes severely.
First they said that it would take 7 days, then they came down to 10 and now its more than a fortnight. They simply say that HP doesn't have a new display panel in their inventory. What kind of ridiculous service HP has that it can't provide one display panel in 16 days time. I would never suggest an HP laptop to anyone after getting such frustrating and pathetic service from HP which claims to be world's top PC vendor. This is so ironic and rather disgusting.
I had registered a complaint on HP's website under Complaint Number - CCHSAP243124, for which I got no response so far. This is certainly not a kind of service I had expected from the number 1 PC vendor of the world before purchasing it's product. Its not only me who's facing this screen flickering problem but there are many I found on online forum and have personally met who are facing the same problem with their HP screens are waiting for the eternity to get the problem resolved. I would not recommend anyone a HP product after getting such kind of service certainly.
If an HP guy reads this, I request him to do something about it lest I go to consumer forum. I am not able to look at the screen anymore. I am really straining my eyes to write this blog entry. Please do something. Its affecting my work and health severely.
