The screen on my 4-1/2 year old Pavilion (dv9230us) is starting to break apart at the seam. If I'm looking at the computer it is happening along the bottom left edge - between the hinge and the corner and up the side above the lock mechanism attachment thing. Little chunks of plastic are falling out - for example, there is a plastic 'button' down there that has broken apart and come out.
Is this a design flaw? Did I get a lemon? Seems like this shouldn't be happening. What can be done about it?
Thanks for any ideas.

I have a DV2500t CTO with the exact same issue in the exact same location!!! I'm trying to figure out how to fix it myself.

I have a Pavilion 2500 as well and I too am having the exact same issue. I won't close it for fear that it will kill the screen.
