Hello,
I've just bought HP ENVY 17-1050ea laptop. At first look, everything was working fine. Problem has showed up, when I tried to change screen resolution. For my programmers use, 1920 x 1080 is so high resolution, text is small, icons are tiny etc...
Ideal resolution for me is 1600 x 900, but when I change any "not recommended" resolution text is blurred, icons are at very low graphic quality. Is there any option to fix this problem with blured texts, low graphic quality icons?
What I have tried:
1) I tried to change screen resolution to 1600 x 900, and use "Adjust ClearType Text", and it helps only for operating system texts. It not appears on any other programs and internet sites too. Texts are again blured. Graphic is ugly.
2) I tried to change screen resolution to 1900 x 1080, and as I said, all works fine but, all is very small. For that problem, I used "Set custom DPI" option and all works fine, until I don't open internet browser and visit any website. All sites are too small and tiny. I can't normally read text and others.
Also solve of this problem isn't to zoom in each site, because I`m web developer and I visit about hundred sites per day.
At and, my question is how to get better graphic performanse on 1600 x 900 screen resolution? (clear texts, normally displayed icons etc...)
Thanks in advance

I just got a dv7t-6c00 and have the following resolution problem: my maximum and recommended resolution is 1920x1080, but it suddenly changed to something very likely less than 1024x768. I tried several times to re-establish the original 1920x1080, but nothing happens.
