Shadows

I am having problems with my newly bought HP Mini 1109TU in HongKong, but I'm from the Philippines. All the words displayed in my monitor, even the cursor, pictures and theme have shadows. What will I do to take the shadow out, I already disabled the mouse's shadow, still it has a shadow. What will I do now to disable all the shadows?
