VGA output doesnt work on new computor

hello, i have a new computor , which has a DVI and VGA output. the dvi does work, but the VGA doesnt and hasnt since i bought the computor,  the screen resolution was set at lowest(800-600) and still doenst show anything, i have tried 3 monitors and the cable is working.  i no longer have the monitor with the dvi output so i cant use my computor atm, if anything can be done please let me know.

you probably have a defective computer. You should contact HP asap before you get out of warranty.

also check to see if you have any of the defective nvidia graphics processors

In my case, I have an older nvidia chip which is also bad.

I have had bad luck with HP - they did not stand by their product when it is out of warranty, even though the product is defective. so I suggest you call them ASAP - and get ready for a long phone call.
