Hello!
I don't know how to connect my laptop's video signal to my TV ![]()
I have an older TV (non digital or HD) with SCART, S-video and RCA inputs and a new HP Pavilion dv6-2090eo laptop with NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M graphics processor. The only analog output on the laptop is VGA (normally for an external monitor or such). If I want to get the picture/video from my laptop on my TV, is it enough if I just buy a cable that connects the two? Can the GeForce send that kind of a signal? Apparently some graphics cards can but not most. Or do I need to buy some sort of an (expensive) video signal converter?

I just purchased dv6t with same video card, and have same tv connection issue. Please post if you determine simple cable adapter works.
Thank you.
