View laptop on second monitor / Quicklook

Good morning.  I have a ProBook 4710s with XP operating system and Office 2003 on a business network purchased last month.  Since receiving it, everytime I would reply to an email or cancel a meeting, I received an error message from HP Quicklook 2 that said: There was an error that caused the instant PIM Outlook Plugin to fail.  Please send PIM.DBG log to support.  The I click ok and Outlook restarted.  I removed the Quicklook program and the problem went away.

However, I can no longer view my laptop on my other monitor. I can set it up to extend by laptop monitor to the second monitor, so I know the monitor is working and connected properly.  When I push F4 to change the view, nothing happens and the only option I have in Settings is to extend the monitor.  This was working before I removed Quicklook, but I have no idea if the two are related.

If anyone has any suggestions on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Tina

Re: View laptop on second monitor / Quicklook

Hi There

I am having the exact same problem with my external monitor. Only, i just deleted a couple of programs and updated my graphics card. Now I can extend but i can't replicate. What is this about? It worked fine before. Are we missing something really simple? If you get this mystery solved could you post it here? Thanks
