Working on a document, especially Outlook, my font reduces to very small size, what am I doing wrong

When typing, my font suddently appears very small - I don't know why and I don't know how to correct it.  Can anyone help me?

Are you accidentally hitting a Zoom Out keyboard shortcut?   E.g. in IE that would be  Ctrl--  and then you could either press Ctrl-0 to reset it to 100% magnification or Ctrl-+ to undo that the Zoom Out or continue zooming in.

Thanks I will check that too - I read some of my documentation and found out that my mouse pad has a zoom in and out function using two fingers on the pad.  Hard to have so many things new - new laptop and new Microsoft Office.
