bd rom does not recognize dvd's in udf file format

Hi I own a hp pavilion dv 7 3080. I have recently reinstalled windows 7 home premium 64 bit from my recovery partition, after that my bd rom won't recognize a dvd in udf file format. when I left click on the bd rom in explorer it eject it saying insert disk, when I look at the properties it says file type unknown. I took the disks, one is a gaming disk and the other a movie and tried it on my buddy's note book, as well as on a portable dvd rom and it worked perfectly, I have installed all windows updates and still it won't work. Please help.
