cannot detect webcam

I have a pavilion dv6 and am getting a warning saying webcam cannot be detected I have installed cyber link you cam and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the hardware hp truevision  but still getting warning can anybody help?

Unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. It may be useful to know that the computer has just been fixed after a major virus which required a new licence etc. I am also not sure if the youcam is fully installed as I cannot access the settings etc as they are grayed out. What do you think?
