cpu usage surges and computer freezes

using windows 7, computer frequently freezes when watching videos & I've noticed the CPU usage surges to 100% (having the Task Manager open) when this happens.

Hi,

 

Have you checked which application or service uses the CPU (in Task Manager) ? Please post back the culprit's name. Machine could be getting hot too.
