dv7 Graphics Score on Windows Experience Index (Radeon 6770M Problem?) [ Edited ]

Can anyone explain why the HP dv7t 6000 CTO (prod. no. XW899AV) displays a Windows Experience Index score for graphics and gaming tests that is higher with the Mobile Intel HD Graphics activated (6.3) than with the Radeon HD 6770M (4.1)?

I don't know if any updates caused this, but both the BIOS and graphics drivers have recieved updates over the past six months or so... currently, the graphics driver version is: 8.830.6.3000 and the latest BIOS is installed: F.1A.

Here are the two screen shots; each Windows Experience Index (WEI) result uses a different graphics option:

 Mobile Intel HD Graphics

Radeon HD 6770M

I remember answering another member long back who had almost a similar issue with WEI scores.

try the Bios update and set the fixed mode for graphic.

No dice, but thanks for trying.

This is NOT simply a cosmetic issue. My dv7 has consistently had performance problems due to the graphics.

Thanks, but the article you point to refers only to the 6100 models and I am having this problem with the 6000 model. The Switchable Graphics options are different in these two models.

Anyone else?
