HDMI port will not output any signal

I have tried everything I could find on the boards so far.  I've tried reinstalling the video driver and the audio driver.  I've tried rebooting countless times.  I've tried, doublechecked, and confirmed the proper function of the connection to every HDMI input on the TV.  I've selected duplicate display every time I've rebooted.  I've tried every selectable resolution.  I even tried online chat with a couple HP help-chat persons.  After the last guy couldn't figure out how to get me a valid video driver to install, he told me he'd look into it and get back to me, but I never heard from him again.

Being able to output HDMI from this computer to my TV is one of the reasons I bought it in the first place and it's extremely frustrating that absolutely nothing I've tried (over the past few weeks and several hours this afternoon) has produced ANY effect whatsoever.  It's as if the HDMI port isn't actually connected to anything inside the computer.

Please help?  At my wits end...
