help me with intel drivers!!

Hello eveybody

how r u ??

 

i recently had a hp laptop as a gift which is compaq 6730s

it was operating on vista but i did not like its performance so i changed it back to XP professional

now i have finished installing all the drivers but when it comes to intel family chipset drivers to be installed the screen goes blank!!

now i used a trick to operate  it ( iam typing the problem using it ) i connected an external lcd monitor to it and found out that its not detecting laptops monitor !!

another problems i face is that it identifies it self as a desktop computer running on AC power

and it doesn't shutdown nor restart regular like all laptops i need to do them manually
