Which specific Radeon HD is it?
Does your notebook have switchable graphics? If two display adapters are listed then it might. Please post both here if that is the case.
Go to Device Manager to find out. Select the Display Adapter device and click on the triangle to the left to open it.
Kind regards,
erico

Can you post a screenshot of the Device Manager with the display adapter section open at full size?
Use the snipping tool in Windows 7 if you have it.
here is an example of what I mean.

erico

The image shows there is no driver installed for the Radeon HD adapter. Use the link I provided to the web support portal -->driver & software download section --> download the available driver for the radeon HD adapter which matches the one in your notebook. If you don't know which one you have let me know and I will explain how to determine that.
Best regards,
erico

The specifications I read on the web support portal for your notebook states that your notebook has the AMD Radeon HD 6470M installed for video. It also shows a 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i5-2410M cpu is installed. Is that accurate information?
I do not know which version of Microsoft Windows is installed in your notebook nor the version(32 or 64-bit) Please post that.
If Microsoft Windows 7 (32 or 64-bit) then download and install this driver software package. It supports the AMD Radeon HP 6740M graphics solution and installs drivers for switchable graphics if that capability is present.

erico

Try a different browser. If you were usingInternet Explorer use Firefox or Google Chrome instead. There is always the option of downloading via FTP through the use of an open source FTP client program.
