i have dv7-2170us p/nNV025UA#ABA os win7 i am wanting to improve graphic card and processor speed.

what is a good mother board replacement.(i dont believe the graphic or processor cannot be replaced on this motherboard).i am trying to play the new games..battlefield3,modernwarfare and am finding out the graphics and processor are not good enough...looking to up grade

Run this little program form NVIDIA and it will tell you what sort of card you need.

 As you said the graphics card can not be upgraded and there is no mother board for the dv7 that will run that game.

 Here are the system boards available for your machine and I believe you need at least a 6000 series ATI driver or better to play Battle Field 3.

 

 Maybe a new proper gaming laptop.
