Well if it were a donut it would be delicious. 
Shut down and upon boot up start immediately tapping the f10 key to get into the BIOS, do you see the problem there ?
Shut down again and immediately start tapping the f8 key and navigate to "Safe Mode" with or without WiFi connection. Do you see the problem there ?
If you see it in the BIOS page, then I would say the LCD is gone. If it appears in safe mode it could be the MoBo or the screen.
To check and see if the MoBo is OK, connect up an external monitor, if you get a good picture there, then the MoBo is good and the screen is bad.
