new HP Pavilion g7 screen sometimes goes white randomly

Just bought a new HP Pavilion g7 and the screen sometimes goes white randomly + just after waking from hibernation. why? and how do i fix it?

at the moment i force hibernate it and try again.  ctrl alt delete doesn't work.  I'm a bit concerned because it's brand new and I'm doing essays on it atm.

Any suggestions?

Cant believe I'm not the only one who has this problem.  Bought this G7 TWO DAYS AGO (Monday 20th February President's Day)  from Best Buy in Braintree.  Wanted to transfer any data we could off our existing Dell Inspiron so paid Geek Squad USD$99 for the pleasure.  Brought back to the house tonight, FIRST TIME OPENING THE BOX and WHITE SCREEN.  Soooo pi**ed off at the moment. HP PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Going to have a "polite" word with the fella from the Geek Squad tommorow.......

I rang HP and they said send it back, which I did.  They completely reset your computer and wipe your hard drive.  It was gone for about a week, was a fair amount of  hassle as I had to take time off work + uni.  Haven't had any problems with the screen since.
