nvidia control panel will not open

I receive the message:  "version mismatch"  what should i do or should i do nothing?  Visited the NVIDIA website for update but the message there was to check with HP and HP solution checks says everything is fine.  I am using HP HDX Premium Series

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your Nvidia Graphics Software - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.

Recovery Manager - Windows 7

Recovery Manager - Windows Vista

After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Thanks.. David,  the reinstall went fine.  However, i still get the same message.  "version mismatch"

I upgraded from vista to window7 about a year ago.  Maybe that is the problem.  I have tried to download an update and that didn't work either.  My HP fine tuner says there is no problems on my computer.  however, the NVIDIA control panel still will not open.  Maybe i should just forget about it?

Can you post back with the following.

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of your HDX series notebook - see Here for a further explanation.

2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).

S/N: CNF92O2M25

running Window 7 64bit

It is truly a great computer. 

Sometimes I can't tell the difference from 0 and O so if the number are right that will be the problem
