pavilion dv7 1279wm screen stretched out!

So yesterday, when i was editing video for a presention, my screen flickered a few times, then when the screen stopped, it was all stretched out. I can't fix it in the display settings.. it still stays stretched

my video card is nvidia geforce 9600mGT.

any help is greatly appreciated!!

You need to set your resolution back to the native resolution which is 1440 x 900.  Reinstall your video drivers from this link...then update your BIOS from this link.

I did that, and it worked sorta... the screen is still slightly stretched out but a lot better.

Is your resolution set to 1440x990 or something lower?
