I have reinstaled system on mu laptop.Instaled windows 7...But i have problem with instaling proper drivers for ATI card.I have downloaded Ati display drivers from HP site but when i try to instal them it says that drivers can't be instaled because they don't match with existing graphic card.
before reinstaling the windows everuthing was working fine.

Hi,
Try downloading and installing the ATI driver on the link below.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp5508
If this installs Ok, restart the notebook. If it doesn't, do you get the samme error message as before?

Hi,
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, open up Display Adapters, right click the AMD device and select Properties.
On the General Tab, is there any error code showing in the Device status box?
Select the Driver Tab - what driver version is showing here?
Open windows Control Panel again and open Programs and Features - what AMD software is listed here?
Regards,
DP-K

Hi,
First of all, open windows Control Panel, open Windows Update and click the 'Check for updates' link - apply any available updates ( ignore any optional ones ) and restart the notebook.
--------------------------------------------------
Make sure you still have the ATI driver on the link below saved in your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp5508
--------------------------------------------------
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the Catalyst Install Manager and select Change - go through the procedure to uninstall all AMD software including the video driver and when this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the AMD installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook once again and see if the error has now gone.
