I have a Hp Pavilion d7-6b32us. My webcam work at one point. Not sure when it stopped working. I have the error "No video device detected. Please plug a video device into your computer. If you are using an intergrated camera please make sure it is turned on." In device manager there is no imaging device listed. I have gone back in and reinstalled the Hp mediasmart webcam and that didn't help. I had cyberlink webcam with same problem but that is now gone since reinstalling mediasmart. I also went as far as restoring the computer back to factory settings thinking that may have help. It didn't. I am running windows 7 64 bit.

Hi
As you have already done a factory reset and issue is still not resolved this is an issue with the Webcam itself you might have to get the part replaced.
If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the part replaced.
If you are out of warranty and would like a guide on replacing the part yourself, please let me know.

I went into the Support Assistant and that program will not load the product and model numbers. Is there another way to get this information?

I have not contacted Hp Support. I think the issue is the camera itself. I was told by my son he dropped the computer and then he showed me a pretty good ding on the left corner above the keyboard. So, I am thinking it may have just come lose. I don't have any warranty on the computer as I bought it new last year on Ebay and the warranty ran out in 2010. Not sure what they can do for me.
