I had the same problem. my mother received a new computer for christmas. I have been here trying to fix the camera problem but no matter what I do, nothing happens. I download the plug in from the link that a worker posted and nothing again, the program can't find any camera

I was having the same issue with my brand new dv7 laptop. The webcam was working fine for the first month and then randomly quit working. I would try to open YouCam and it said that the webcam was not detected. I lightly pushed on the black plastic surrounding the webcam and it connected. It must a loose wire design flaw. But after pushing on the area just left of the webcam a noise notified me that the webcam had been connected. Hopefully this will help others having the same problem. I did not go hitting on my expensive laptop and I would not advise others to do that. I just squeezed the black area (not the lcd screen) surrounding the webcam lightly and it connected.
