why wont my laptop let me control the brightness on it?

hp pavilion g4-1207nr notebook. windows 7 64-bit. it always changes the brightness whenever it wants to, i have no control over it. can anyone please help me?

There is a few different ways to disable the ambient light sensor. The easiest way would be to  press Fn+F11. This should go back to your normal brightness setting.
