[SOLUTION]

Worked for me,

I just updated to Windows 8.1 Pro from Windows 8. I had the same issue but I finally found a solution for me.

I used SP58788 graphics driver for my HP Pavillion dv6 with AMD HD6490M gpu.

I have switchable graphics fully working for my Intel HD 3000 graphics as well.

You can search 'SP58788' in google and download it.

Here are some pictures to show you guys;

Hy!

Try this, working Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6470M switchable graphics ( HP Pavilion g6-1206eh ).

1. Clean your system with the usual methods.

2. Cleaned registry with Ccleaner

3. In CMD with Admin rights: bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF

4. Restart

5.  Install Intel HD 3000 (newer 3347), download

6. Restart

7. Install AMD Mobility Beta 13.11 9.5, download 2

8. Restart

Done!

(Note: Delete and install, I switch off internet, because Windows can't download fail driver!)

Result:
1. Switchable menu appears and working
2. Brightness control works on Intel
3. Brightness control works on ATI

Havent tried FTC though.

Spec:
- W8.1 Professional x64
- HP Pavilion G6-1206eh
- AMD Radeon HD 6470M
- Intel HD 3000
