Connect TV to USB port

I have a laptop model G60-535DX running Windows-7 and would like to connect it to my TV so I can see family photos and videos. I would like to connect using one of the USB ports. Is this possible? If not, how else can I connect my laptop to the TV?
Thank you.

Hi,

Your notebook has an HDMI port, if your Tv also has this type of port, you should connect them using an HDMI cable.

See Page 9 of this Guide.

Re: Connect TV to USB port

Hi,

We need information about your TV (brand, model). Depending on available port(s) on your TV we can work this out for you.

Thanks for the prompt reply, but the TV does not have a HDMI port. Its a Samsung PCL-5415R

Hi,

My suggestion is to use HDMI to Component converter/cable. Connect one end to your laptop using HDMI port, other end can be connected to Component 1 or 2 (2 is better). They are all color coded therefore just plug RCA connectors to the right ports (same color) at the back:

Thanks Banhiem. I'll try that.
