This is a very strange problem. My laptop has started exhibiting a flicker at the bottom of the screen, where the taskbar is. It seems to be a section of the middle of the screen copied and pulled down. I have run a virus scan, with no results. Reinstalled all drivers with no results. Any program even tangentially related to the display were either reinstalled or uninstalled with the same result. This can also be seen outside of the operating system, such as the BIOS. I tried to record this to show to a friend, and when the video was watched the symptoms were not visible. My system specifications are below.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
ATI Radeon HD 3200
AMD Turion x2 Ultra Dual Core Mobile ZM-82 2.20 GHz

Ckeck your warranty -->Warranty Status Check website
Installing Win7 will not void your warranty, you always can revert it Vista by using System Recovery disks.
Yes you can use it but please check your warranty again in above site.
LCD and motherboard are the most expensive components, please send it to HP if you are still in warranty period.
Pavilion DV2922TX, XP-SP3 32bit, Intel T5750 2.0Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS with 128MB, 4GB 667 DDR2, 250GB HDD

I am having similar problems on my HP Pavillion notebook. I checked with the HP Customer Care. They did confirm that this is a hardware issue.
But looks like there is a problem.
I purchased the notebook from Saudi Arabia. I live in USA now. And I still have the warranty.
Why cant I use the warranty in USA.
If Not, what options do I have.

I have the same problem. It's pretty annoying indeed.
What's making it even worse is I haven't heard from the HP technical support.

- I have a dv4-1275 mx running Windows Vista 64 bit.
- My computer started with the flicker at the bottom, and within 2 months it flickers constantly. The whole screen.
- Good luck!
- Mine is definitely not under warranty anymore.
- I will never buy HP again
- When I bought it, the sound was the problem. Next, the power cord broke. Now the screen. I have a 10 year old Sony that I used to fly everywhere with that still works great.
