HI

i bought a G62 Laptop last week, initially my samsung TV worked and displayed full screen as my 2nd Monitor vis HDMI, then yesterday the display "shrunk" then the laptop was no longer a able to detect the Samsung TV.

I have tested my HDMI cables and the 4 inputs available and all work, the problem appeaqrs to be with the new laptop HDMI output.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Tony

Re: G62 HDMI

Can you post the exact model number of the notebook and the Current Operating system on it?

G62-225DX HDMI not working

The strangest thing is happening:

I have an HP G62-225DX notebook computer and I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version.

Control panel > system> device manager reports that the graphics adapter in the system is Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Family.

In trying to get output on the built in HDMI adapter, I downloaded and installed the latest HP drivers and when they did not work, I downloaded and installed the Intel driver 8.15.10.2281 dated 1/12/2011 and still, I cannot get any output on the HDMI port.

The laptop screen goes 'Black' when I plug in the HDMI cable (The cable & TV work well on other HDMI devices)

When I right click and go into the adapter settings, there is no HDMI device visible??

Can anyone help me figure this out? I have spent many hours trying..

Thanks!
