I had a laptop that should have been eligible for a replacement but instead now it is just a dead paperweight. I loved it when it worked and was locking up. Restarts, restarts restarts, but NO mine for some strange reason was not in the range of numbers covered. I think I got sc??wed but oh well I will not buy another laptop from hp until they actually figure out and fix the ones that they sold but were defective. Do not know what to tell but GOOD LUCK.

I've done a few little solutions until I get a large fix.
Kill all useless tape on the motherboard,
Clean the heatsync with pure alchahol, nothing else,
I also noticed that the thermal pad covering my ATI radeon was also covering most of the chip, not just the top, so I cut off the nessisary pieces so it contacts what it was meant for, Then I made sure when placing back the screws securing the CPU pad, I pressed hard on the gpu and CPU and made sure the screws were extra tight.
I also plan on using the penny fix including arctic silver 5.
