Whenever I turn on my HP laptop, the screen automatically turns white and colored vertical lines appear. I accidentally left my computer on too long and the battery died before this happened. This started last Thursday. Once it went all blue and it read there looks to be a problem, restart computer or do advanced restart. I did I normal restart, right after choosing that, the computer went back to the white screen with lines. After, I left it off and charging until Friday morning. When I turned it on, it worked but it was slower then normal. I tried turning it on the next day and it was a completely black screen. When I turned it on today it when back to the white screen with lines. Could you please tell me how to fix it.

Hi there @lish_girl

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.

I understand that you are having problems with your notebook display. I am happy to help you with this.

I would start with these two pages, and see if anything points to or resolves the problem.

Here are the drivers and support page for your notebook, and the service and maintenance manual. I include the maintenance manual as you can use it to check the physical connections if you wish, and shows how to replace the display if it looks like the display is defective.
