Optimus in HP ENVY 17t-j100 Leap Motion

Hello,  I have a HP ENVY 17t-j100 Leap Motion QE CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) with optimus technology.

Can I disconect the optimus technology and only use the NVIDIA card?

Re: Optimus in HP ENVY 17t-j100 Leap Motion

Hi,

The short answer is no.

On your type of system, the Intel gpu is always used to render the final display, regardless of whether the discrete Nvidia chip is being used for graphics processing or not.

For further information on how this type of 'Switchable' graphics technology works, see the Whitepaper on the following link.
