I just bought the notebook and my webcam is not recognized by Skype. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is my first time using Skype and first time with a web cam so am not sure if I need to do something. I do see myself in the web cam though so am not sure why Skype doesn't recognize it.

- Sign in to Skype and in the Tools menu, select Options....
- Under Video Settings, if you have a webcam connected, you will see a live picture from your webcam.
- If required, and if you have multiple webcams connected to your computer, select a HP Webcam from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

I have the same problem with my notebook "pavilion G6".
I was on skype and out of the blue there was an update. "you cam cyberlink"
Since then video doen't work anymore.
I allready set back the downloaded drivers from the HP support page but still doesn't work.
I tried the things yu said in your screen, that works for 3 minutes.
Then it automaticly change it back to youcam (webcam splitter)
So, I can change it, it does work for 3 minutes and then its set back to webcamsplitter.
and doesn't work anymore
I can't delete that webcamsplitter...
