Skyrim compatibility issues.

I've got the hp pavilion dv7-4083cl, which has a ATI mobility radeon HD540 graphics card (which I always make sure is running when I attempt to play) and an intel i5 processor. The specs, and a system test says that the game should run beautifully, but it looks more like a slideshow than a game. Is anyone else having a problem with this, or have any thoughts as to how to fix it? Help is appreciated!!

* RAM: 2 GB
* HDD: 6 GB

Recommended System Requirements

* OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP (32 or 64 bit)

Re: Skyrim compatibility issues.

I'm not sure what you mean, as my system does fit the minimum requirements. I think the issue is compatibility somewhere else.

Hi,

Well, I can not find "ATI mobility radeon HD540 graphics card" anywhere to check. Is this your laptop ?

Re: Skyrim compatibility issues.

It is. But the minimum required graphics card is older and less powerful than the one I have.

Re: Skyrim compatibility issues.

hi,

i'm having almost the same problem with skyrim!!! during gameplay, every 3/4 second, i experience a half-second slow motion... i tried everything (minimum settings, drivers update, fixed Ati video), but the problem isn't solved.

i have a DV7-6199 series with

I7 2.2ghz

8gb ram

ATI HD 6770M with 2gb dedicated ram

directX 11...

wich means i'm above the recommended requirements!!!

anybody has any idea?! do you think i should return the laptop?!

Re: Skyrim compatibility issues.

That laptop definately sounds like it should run it. I just don't get it.

Re: Skyrim compatibility issues.

Hi,

I know people can not use ATI driver from AMD to update their machines. This site shows a list of all available drivers which have been tested.

Good luck,
